VOL. 01 — ONBOARDING
Your first 30 days.
A walkthrough designed for procurement-driven adoption. Day-by-day what your team will do, with self-serve actions and links to the relevant in-product flows. No sales call required.
-
Workspace creation + first message
Sign up at /signup. Pick a workspace name. Skip the credit-card prompt. Create your first channel. Send your first message. Total elapsed: under 2 minutes.
-
Invite your team
Generate invite link. Drop it in your existing chat tool. Multi-account on web means no one has to sign out of Slack/Teams/Discord to try us.
-
Configure SSO
Settings → Identity → Add OIDC provider. Okta, Entra ID, Auth0, or any compliant IdP. Self-serve, in-product, ~2 minutes. SSO is on every paid tier — no enterprise contract required.
-
Run a security review
Settings → Workspace → Audit log. Confirm everyone signed up via passkey. Set retention policies per channel. Review the sub-processor list. Download our DPA from /trust/dpa for your legal team.
-
Migrate channels from your old tool
Use the migration runbook (Slack, Teams, Google Chat, or Discord — see /migrate-from-*). Most teams move 80% of channels in week three; the rest follows by month-end.
-
Decide whether to upgrade
Free tier covers up to 10 members with full retention. Team and Enterprise unlock SCIM, custom DPA, audit-log export. Upgrade in-product, no call. Or stay Free indefinitely — your data and history are not held hostage by the tier.
What you can rely on by the end of month 1
- A working chat tool. Channels, threads, search, multi-account, native apps on every platform.
- Configured SSO. Your team signs in via your IdP. Passkeys are the second factor for those who want to add one.
- A signed DPA. Standard DPA covers most procurement needs; redlined version available async via legal@omniteam.eu.
- An audit log. Every admin action recorded in an immutable Postgres-enforced trail. Self-serve export.
- A sub-processor list with notification rights. 30-day notice for any change; right to terminate without penalty if a change is unacceptable.
- An understanding of the architecture. If your team is technical, /security covers the architectural commitments. If procurement-focused, /trust covers the operational commitments.
What does not happen during these 30 days
- You don’t schedule a demo call. There aren’t any.
- You don’t talk to a sales rep. There aren’t any.
- You don’t fill out a “contact for enterprise pricing” form. Pricing is on the page.
- You don’t get an account manager assigned. Async support is the path.
- You don’t suffer through a “customer success kickoff” deck. The product onboards you.
This is deliberate. Self-serve isn’t a phase that ends when you become “strategic enough” to be assigned a CSM. It’s how the product is built end-to-end. More about how this company is run.
