What Proton does
Proton AG is a Swiss company offering an end-to-end encrypted suite of productivity tools. Switzerland is not EU but maintains its own GDPR-equivalent data protection (FADP) and is not subject to the CLOUD Act. For privacy-driven buyers, Proton is the closest non-EU sovereign option.
How we use it
A common request from sovereignty-driven customers is "we use Proton — does your stack play nicely?" The honest answer: yes, by integration with standard SMTP/CalDAV.
